Importance of being decent for successful email and newsletter marketing

Yesterday, I wrote negatively about email marketing and newsletters, but had very clearly mentioned about people who are successful doing email marketing. I have got some tips for successful email marketing for you here today

1. Never behave like a spammer – Don’t send newsletters which are spam, you will be defeated as its very much against ethical marketing and its illegal
2. Before a person sign-up to your subscriber list, inform the person what you will be sending in your newsletters very clearly. Don’t talk about anything that you will not be able to provide and the subscriber will not be able to gain.
3. Offer something valuable for subscribers exclusively on sign-up and even reading your news letters.
4. Provide the right information about yourself in your signature and the un-subscribe link which is very important (Legally as well as to be fair)
5. Lastly and very important, never share / sell the subscribe details to anybody.
