Are there any demand for typist home jobs seekers?

I very often get emails and queries related to typist jobs who have their own system. Typist jobs means data conversion, converting hand written or printed texts to electronic format like Microsoft Word format. These kind of jobs require only typing speed with accuracy.

When I hear of these kind of request, I remember about a Company called SOHONET which does not exist today. This incident is during late 90′s and I also was a victim of this scandal. I paid INR 2500 to purchase a kit which consisted of a CD. We had to install that program and type out some legal documents. We had two panes one was some image format and the other was the text editor. To complete my first job, it took about 1 month and I used to spend about 5 hours a day. One page was paid about INR 50 and once we complete this, we had to export the data and send it by courier to get that evaluated and paid.

I was never paid and I know many who had the same experience. They made a lot of money and vanished. After sometime, I just cracked that program and found that, the text were already there in the database and this was really a fraud program. They had just created this program to sell those kits and make money and was not really a real time project.

So be sure about any data entry work you take. Find out more about the outsourcing company and the work that you are going to do before you make any payment.
