Baba Ramdev, an agent of the Saffron Parivar?

The yoga guru, Baba Ramdev, who is famous for his yoga teachings, is in the limelight of controversy for some time now. He has fixed the government of India in a vicious circle. Is he trying to blackmail the democracy?

We still don’t know the reality of the current drama going on between UPA led government and the Baba Ramdev. We, the public, are heavily depending on the various media for getting an update of the matter.  Through the media only people came to know that Ram Lila ground has been booked for month to conduct a fast by Baba Ramdev and his disciples. But now the police version is the permission is given to Baba to use the Ram Lila ground for a yoga camp. Which one has be believed?

Baba Ramdev announced his fasting for bringing out the black money which is stashed in foreign banks and he wants the corrupt to be punished severely. Whatever it be, the UPA led government was not able to meet his demands and he along with his disciples headed for the fasting. The next morning, he was evicted from the Ram Lila ground with his disciples and made him to stop the fasting campaign. Government version is that there was a agreement signed between them to stop the fast by midnight but it wasn’t done according to the agreement. The most fanciful fact is that media was kept out of the eviction process. Now he resumed his fasting with his disciples in his ashram in Haridwar and the Supreme Court asked the government to give an explanation on the eviction of Baba from the Ram Lila ground, considering the media reports.

There were many rounds of talks took place between Baba Ramdev and government authorized ministers before the fasting started. They couldn’t come to a common understanding since Baba was raising his demands one after the other. He made his presence felt when Anna Hazare started fasting for the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill but no political parties were allowed to take part in the programme. Now the situation has been changed and the event is getting the shades of saffron.

Now the movement has been literally taken over by the BJP across the country and conducting Sathyagraha at different places. It became a great relief for the BJP since they are getting a golden chance to create a tremor in the UPA led government. They already got into action and all the senior leaders met the President of India and raised their demands. So far they were not even able to talk about the Anna Hazare movement but now they got an entry into the movement against corruption.

The Baba in saffron robe is creating suspicion in everyone’s mind that whether he is an agent of the Saffron Parivar. The reason is that he never denied their support for the movement.
