Backup your files in Windows Vista
Windows Vista has a built-in back up facility. You can back up your files to an external drive or a drive in your PC. Scheduled back ups can be performed automatically. These back up files can be restored if you face any problems or errors.
You have the option to select the kind of files that you would like to back up like the pictures, documents, video’s etc.
System restore is a feature which can be used to bring back your operating system to a previous restore point. Usually when we install a new software or a Windows update is a done a new restore point is created by the operating system. If you find something wrong after installing the new software or driver or an update, you can revert back to the restore point. This feature is available in Windows XP also.
If you have made any changes in your files, that will not be effected. Restoring from back up is different from System Restore
