Bail for Amar Singh and No Bail for Kanimozhi
Delhi high court has today granted a conditional bail to Amar Singh on the grounds of his poor medical conditions. Amar Singh has to give a bond and surety of Rs. 50 lakh to the High Court.
Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh was arrested and sent to Judicial custody in connection with Cash-for-vote scam. 55 year old Amar Singh has been suffering from renal problem for quiet sometime and he was admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences seven days after his arrest.
At the same time DMK Chief Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi couldn’t get bail. Court has reserved her bail order and she will have to stay in Tihar for some more time. Anyway Kanimozhi will be in Tihar for the Diwali. She has been in Tihar for nearly six months. She was arrested for her alleged role in the 2G telecom scam.
