Be-Aware Of Teachers Recruitment In Maldives

: 107 + 0 + 0 = 107

Maldives is a country where there are lots of opportunities for teaching professionals. Most of the expatriate teaching professionals are from India and Sri Lanka.

If you are looking for a teaching Job in Maldives, you will need to go through the recruiting agencies which is authorized by the Ministry of Education. The other possibility is to take a risk to come to Maldives and attend an interview directly, but that is being restricted now a days and its again at your risk.

The first option which I mentioned that is through the authorized Recruiting agencies in India which very often advertises the interview dates and venue in leading news papers.

Walk in interviews are conducted in India by the recruiting agencies in the presence Ministry of Education officials. They will promise you a salary of Rs 35000/- per month and a contract of 1 year. You will need to pay a service charge of Rs 25,000 to 45,000 for getting this job. You will be receiving the appointment order which will clearly mention your job site and other information.

Till now everything is fine. Once you reach Male’, and after you join the school, you may asked to go to other islands to work with reasons that you have a poor teaching ability or your accent in the English language is poor or you do not have subject content and etc.  What do the officials do when they do the interview? Other pity thing is the period of contract. Usually the contract is for a year and now a days we find most of the teachers are sent back or offered transfers to other islands which many of the teaches do not like and decide to resign, which creates lots of new vacancies and ultimately the recruiting agencies and other officials are benefited. Never expect the salary that they have offered. Now you do not get even Rs 40 per US Dollar.
I would like to conclude that the more number of new recruitments done every year, the benefit goes to the recruiting agencies and other officials involved in this and they do the best to do the maximum number of recruitments every year. 100′s of recruitment are done every year.

    Sir,

Kindly let me know when you terminated my service without informing me? And to please whom you did it? Otherwise you will soon realize the signs of God for punishing an innocent man. Just to keep your superior in his post you did it. My Lord is most knowing of what you do. If I took the room of somebody else’s at there, it would not have happened like this. I know the persons who are backed the ouster of me. They are going to realize it. Those who were along with me at there also did spy work. They thought I am fool knowing not this. I have done many good things. Without realizing the background of students, there is no sense in delivering the lecture. I could do it. I am not materialistic like others which is known to Dhiraagu and Watania through my messages. God is an important witness for that. I don’t want any help from anybody except God. I don’t like the character of keeping any partiality towards anybody. Rest is left to God. Let us see what is going to happen. The reality is very near to those who were with me and did spy work. One of them’s ego who tried to defame me in front of students and changed the entire scenario there, will be main culprit in the eyes of God. He will realize it very soon. You know the person who tried to help you to know the messages from my mobile through the other one. I was not a fool, but acted like a fool .I ignored it. Because, they are ordinary human beings who want to keep their dominance. The Deputy Director is keeping you in safe place for his own safety. May be for him you have prepared the termination letter and Ms. Aminath Saeetha asked to me sign in a register in which in Dhivehi something was written which was unknown to me and telling me that it was the submission of library books. Now I got what happened in between. You can hide everything from me or any human beings but not from God. Dhiraagu and Watania are my best witnesses for the entire happenings. I am still keeping good relations through Facebook and twitter. As said in Qu’Ran, My Lord is most knowing what you do. Then why should I worry, if I did not do anything wrong. Good mind, Good find.

    Yours truly,

bangalore: the state government has cautioned people against taking up employment in maldives. the department of employment and training said it has come to the notice of the centre that some of the employers in maldives and their recruiting agents in india are causing hardships to the indian workers. many disputes are pending settlement because of the indifferent attitude of such employers and recruiting agents, the release added. in view of this exploitative and non-cooperative attitude of the employers in maldives, those who intend to take up jobs are asked to take precautions. if necessary, they should secure guidance from the nearby offices of the protector of emigrants functioning under the ministry of labour, the release said.

  • Dr Srinivas

There are so many duplicate agents tied up with Ministry of Education Maldives beware of fake recruitment and the investment on teaching job for less salary is foolishness.

  • Dr Srinivas

Hi guys ! just realize that Global Placements Hyderabad is not taking any recruitment contract with Maldives, this is due to the salaries are very less and Ministry of Education Madlives is totally corrupted and merged with Local Agents for US Dollars as an income. stop working in Maldives its a wrong time to enter into this country.

  • Dr Srinivas

Ministry of Education Maldives is totally corrupted and merged with agents in India / Maldives they are just selling the teaching posts in Maldives not recruiting good teachers, its time for incompetent teachers to go to Maldives by bribing Ministry of Education Recruitment team.

Salary is very less just 25000/- rupees per month you can remit to India . There is a huge US Dollar currency scarcity in Maldives take care before stepping into Maldives for teaching job.

An optimistic man’s pessimistic world. Who will help him. He could not survive so far. He is looking towards the sky, just like a skylark awaiting rainfall. It started from childhood who lost his mother at the age of 7 and since then he is in the view of who can be trusted forever and not paying heed to what the world to comment over his view points. He has wife and a son. In his poem ” Being” he has made an attempt to characterize his personality which is lost due to his behavioral approach. He does not have that much knowledge in literature. It is with his gifted talents he maintains it. Those who are kind to help him should come forward. His life is in turmoil. He lost his job which was a good one got in his fifty’s and lost it owing to his character . He always questioned injustice prevailed in the world around. In a foreign country, is it possible? This is what happened in his case. He was working as teacher in Republic of Maldives. They complained about his quality of teaching and sent back to his native place after one year. But what he has done is, he changed the pattern to his own style as it was found necessary as per the standard of students and they liked it very much. Borrowed garments never fit. Alas! those who are not interested in the development of students of country hesitated to accept it as they are looking forward to accept the materialistic ideology which should not be applied especially in the filed of education. Every nation should promote the education on the basis of cultural heritage of that country. As he learned in Economics, we can call it as “Demonstration Effect” which is found in the developing countries. In simple words a tendency to raise antenna to show that we have TV at home. Because the neighbour had it. Why should we wear Suit and Tie in a hot climate? Suit is not there. But tie is compulsory. We have to adopt the system according to our requirement and atmosphere. Those who are reading it should comment, at least, please.

Correspondence made to The Deputy Director, Mr. Mohamed Hamdhan, Ministry of Education, Maldives. What is the logic behind the complaints raised by the Principals of Nolhivaram, Afeefudhin School and M.S.A.T. against me who head the institutions which are followed the Cambridge University Syllabus and speak He don’t know, she don’t know while speaking.

    Sir,

Kindly let me know as per your promise whether you have deposited the money in my SBI Bank Account No. at Male’ 12605666210201 or not? If not, please deposit it immediately. Kindly also let me know how MSAT School terminated my service without my knowledge and without giving any notice or any memo towards that effect. If you are not able to materialize these, you may kindly advise me to approach the person concerned who is aware of these things. I need not attend any interview or anything to continue my service at there since I have completed one year service at there. If you are not aware of the procedure really due to lack of knowledge in administration, please meet somebody else who is able to do it with their experience in administration, kindly do contact your seniors who have experience in administration , like Mohammed Hussain Sir who is now in Technical Section who use English language in its highest literary level . He also recommended my case to you and you paid your deaf ears to that. Now I have no alternative in case you are not depositing the money and sending return ticket before I do something as I lost my face in front of others due to the ill acts of you. So far I have not put it in Social media Network due to the love I have extended to innocent Maldivians. I have not done anything against them and will not do it in future. Wherever I have worked in Maldives. they have extended their support to me since I have taught and advised the students for their own benefit and not for my goals. Hence, I request you to kindly do what is necessary immediately i.e. within 3 days, failing which I have to take stern action before committing my last decision to……………… Now it became my prestige issue . If you are still unable to know my vision, please do consult it with Previous Province Head Ibrahim Rasheed Sir and Mohammed Hussain Sir( Who was sitting in your current post)

This is my request that an innocent person should not be tortured like this. ALLAH U AKBAR.

    Sir,

As you could not find Economics Teachers Post at any schools, as per your advice I left Maldives on 20th January, 2013 believing that you will execute the norms prevail in the country. Since you have no other alternative to accommodate me at there, you are kindly requested to deposit the basic salary Rf.6295/- in my SBI Male’(Savings) Account No. 12605666210201 and help to survive the situation which was affected by your decision. You may kindly note that I am person who loved Maldives and Maldivians and helped as I could through school fund MSAT. If possible kindly make an enquiry why MSAT School authorities did not allow me to join on 08.01.2012 since I had reached there on 28.012.2012 without any objections from any Departments including Immigration throughout my travel and stayed there till 5th January,2013. Sir, kindly let me know who were behind that forced you to phone up me on 03.01.2013 around 4.44pm to tell me to get out of Maldives and who were behind that forced you to inform me to get out of Maldives since you have shown soft corner after hearing my pathetic conditions. Since you have provision to give basic pay till 3 months, you may kindly do it. If possible kindly let me have another chance to serve as I find it difficult to manage my life with family as I informed earlier. I have no other alternative except last step.

Hope that you will do what is found necessary and let me have another chance which is expected in near future. ALLAH U AKBAR.

    Yours truly,
    MADHUSOODANAN KIZHAKKEPATTIATH
    PP NO. J-0452766
    VISA PERMIT NO. 217299

NB: If you did not expect me to Maldives, you could have cancelled my return ticket as a part of good administration instead of defaming me after reaching there in the name of MSAT School. I love Thakandhoo and still vacancy is there. If you did not like my teaching and character,as you informed to me, how did you allow me to continue there for the entire academic year and issue the return ticket. Moreover, after reaching there, since I have no chance to get any opportunity, I contacted the Agent Mr. Thomas P.G. Banana Chips and offered to give Rf 8000/- initially and the next Rf 8000/- after getting salary of January, 2013, you have assigned me to Meedhoo School and later I could not give him Rf 8000/- whereas I had only Rf6000/- he told me that he is going to cancel it through you and you informed me that there is no vacancy there as they are back referring the MSAT School reference. What is the logic in this case. It is very clear that everything is done on money basis. Moreover, how you allowed me to continue for one year if my teaching and character were not good. I made my messages in a Mark Antony style by which you thought I am really weak. But believing in Islam and Allah I opened up me, believing faith in you. Now in case you are ignoring my matter since vacancy is still at MSAT. I have to take up the matter to President’s level or International level. It all shows the administrative weakness. Simply cancelling the ticket would have done it better. After paying duty at Trivandrum and Male’ I brought necessary food items and Laptop to correct my defects which were faced by me in last year and I also promised that I am not going to take any leave or anything this year. You have shown soft corner and were ready to assign me to some school. But later cancelled. What was the reason for it. I don’t fear anybody except God and it is true Allah U Akbar that is why I got the power to withstand and send this message which is also done by his order. As said in Qu’Ran nothing is possible without his knowledge.. I sought justice which I did not get. I again repeat If I am not capable, why you allowed me to continue there for the entire academic year. I had spent more than 400 dollar to stay in Male’ I had lost RF450 towards cancellation of flight tickets owing to the non renewal of Visa Permit Card for coming back to home as suggested by you which I got only on 16.01.2013. I could have gone back from Trivandrum itself if you had cancelled my return ticket which was happened due to weak administration. I loved Maldives and its innocence and innocent people that is why I took the risk to come there and meet my students and innocent people of Thakandhoo where Freedom Fighter Ali Thakurfaanu’s body was cremated. I wrote nearly 20 poems about Maldives and its innocents and was contributing Rf500/- every month towards School Fund which is now accounted for Rf.1100/-.I made new scheme on the basis of Syllabus which was a great risk but I enjoyed it. I am such a person who got out from there. I am waiting for your first response which is the basic salary to be deposited in my SBI account. Those who read this will understand what is happening in administrative level of Ministry of Education. Kindly bring forth the persons involved to send me out without allowing me to join on 08.01.2013. Yours truly, MADHUSOODANAN. KIZHAKKEPATTIATH, PP NO.J-0452766, WORK PERMIT NO. IA-217299 Visa No.1400/2013 Expire on 31.01.2014 Allah U Akbar. So I will get justice from People of Maldives because I loved them very much and I enjoyed Maldivian beauty which is clear from my poem published in all poetry.com. Thank you all. I have no alternative except committing last step since I lost my status and prestige due to the act done by you. Kindly do what is necessary in the name of Allah. I did not do anything again Maldives or Maldivians.

The following message is addressed to The Deputy Director, Mr.Mohamed Hamdhan, Ministry of Education, Maldives.

    Sir,

Since you issued return ticket and now renewed my Visa Permit what is the logic behind asking me to attend the interview through the Agency Caravan Tours & Travels, Trivandrum.

You allowed me to continue there for one year and allowing me to take classes to Grade 8,9 and 10 Economics and Grade 6 & 7 Social Studies. I am a person who had the qualification and experience and moreover prepared scheme for the year 2013 while I was there at MSAT Thakandhoo and unnecessarily sent to native place with my own cost, now asked to attend the interview . Could you please explain the logic behind this. Is it not clear from this money matters in this case? Is it not the failure administration to know the where about of executing the matters?

Now what I have to request you is to send a flight ticket and depute me to any one of the schools where you find vacancy for Economics since I have reached there on 28.12.12 as per schedule of return ticket for which Immigration and emigration seals were put on in my passport.

    Thanking you,

Allah U Akbar. Tom & Jerry Play is on World Stage. If I am not good, why should I blame others. I have to thank Maldivians for bearing the head-ache owing to my presence. Wherever I go I feel that I belong to that country and start criticizing. May be I am correct, but I am supposed to obey the order of my Boss. I won’t blame anybody. Luckily I got passed one year with the help of some good superiors which can not be expected always. I have a syllabus based on cultural heritage of the countries. For eg. An Indian should learn what is the basic requirement for an Indian. Likewise, every citizen of any countries. If anybody wants to know more about me, please search ” madhupattiath” with google search. Last but not least we should not break the mirror on account of our face is not good.

    Hi Soori,
Don’t pay anything right a way. First did you receive the offer letter then cross check whether it is ok with you or not. Then start bargaining with the consultant people. I agree with Umar.

  • Umar

    Hi Soori,

No need to pay 1 Lack considering the current condition in Maldives.Maximum you can pay upto 30,000..Now a days recruitment agencies also facing the problem of Lack of teachers. and there is much competition among the consultancies…So I am sure that they will accept with this amount…

    • Senthilkumar

Dear Mr. Umar, please do not promote anyone to negotiate or deal with the agencies. If there is a capable candidate he or she can get the job by attending the interview. Only those who have problems in communication or lack of subject knowledge are running behind some agents to arrange the job by somehow. Its really shit to sell themselves to the agencies

  • Ishu423

Most of Indian teachers are came here Maldives to gain experience, after six month, most of time they were brows internet to get job from mid-east, Arabian countries or south east asia countries, like Japan, china, malaysia…. medical doctors are doing same thing here.

  • Yaan

    Adding to What Mohamed Said

Many Indian teachers are well learned. If they are asked to explain a concept, they find it difficult. But they make no mistakes in doing accounting or maths questions. This poor ability in explaining to the class different questions, concepts needs pedagogical skills which most of the Indian teachers lack. So you ask this question to you self. How do the government keep them?

Of course, the point you raised is valid as well. The recruiting companies get richer and richer. But a biggest problem lies in teachers or teacher educating institutions in India.

    • Hellboy

Before You comment educational institutes in India, one should know the value of education and hoesty and responsibilities of your representatives . ITS FOOLISH TO THINK OF HAVING LEARNED TEACHERS , WHERE THERE IS NO RESPECT FOR HUMANITY AND KNOWLEDGE.
CAN U DARE HAVE AN AMERICAN OR BRITISH TEACHERS IN UR COUNTRY.?

  • Mohamed

Most of the Indian Teachers are very poor when it comes teaching the Subjects in our curriculum. I would like to say most of the so called “Graduate and Qualified” teachers who even come to Maldives to teach English can even barely phrase a sentence in English correctly. So whats the point of keeping them. Furthermore, hardly few can manage the discipline in the classroom. I work in a secondary school, and English teachers there cannot teach CAE because they do not have the sufficient knowledge and they can barely speak in English correctly without uttering mistakes.

I passed M.A Geography (56.5%) and M.Phil Geography (59%)and I also cleared NET (National Eligibility Test), conducted by University Grant Commission (UGC).

    • asim

here the Schools do not have Geography but they have Fisheries. As you said that you are from delhi , jamia milia you can get very good jobs there. do not plan to come here or give money to any body this place is like a Jungle where the students are criminals and genocides who attack teachers and the ministry ai also creating problems for the teachers.STAY IN INDIA, AND SERVE YOUR NATION

      • Senthilkumar

Dear Mr. Asim, I think its better to share the reliable information on blogs like this. There are schools which offer Geography as an optional subject. Without knowing the fact if we give wrong information, it shows how inadequate we are in the place where we work,

Hi Kishore, great, informative, intutive blog.I am right now looking to get a govt teacher’s job in Maldives as I have the required prerequisite qualifications and xp.With the ambiguities with ref. to this, I found your blog very useful. The posts here confirms to the feedback I been getting from friends who have already worked in Maldive and returned all pointing the best option to go about for the job would be to go directly to Maldives try the MOE interview there. In this respect I would like to know just one detail.Does the MOE of Maldives have a specific time line for this interview-that is can one go anytime and take the interview or do they have a time span like april to dec each year. For 2o10 recruitment can I go now?I would appreciate if you or any one here can provide me with this information. Thanks,Regards.

i am doing B.Ed.i would like to work in maldives as physics teacher. is there any vacancy?

  • lechu

hi Simple, don’t fall for this because the life is becoming horrible for the teachers in Maldives. If you want to send some money home, you have to take Tuition. The school need not be in Male’, the capital of Maldives. Sometimes you will be posted in far away islands and most of the time the boat service will be available only once or twice in a week. Your stay becomes difficult. Mostly these appointment for one year and afterward you will be send back. So, be careful before you give the money. I worked there for sometime.

  • Simple

Hi,I also came across an agency whcih is demanding 80,000 if I get a johb through their agency and teh salary is Rs.45,ooo in Indian Currency. They said they won’t tell the name of teh school now.The agency keeps calling me to arrange for an interview date/appointment but has never sent any email whcih they keep claiming over teh phone from Chennai.I requested them to send an email and let me the know certain job details.Interviews being scheduled are online and no emails received for teh same till date. Just over teh phone they keep talking that they will be sending details regarding teh job details..as to for which standard the vacancies exist and what are the eligibity conditions . The school board ..etc

    • M K PRADEEP

sir, I am from Eranakulam, i have completed MA (history) and Be.d (socialscience) .i have been worked as teacher in CBSE school for five years. right now i am in kuwait , working in super market for one year earning (Rs25000 per month), before came kuwait i had attended interview for Malidive . but i am unable to give service charge, what they were asked (Rs 125000)sun international at Ernakulam.Right now , Let me knew that interview is going on kerala for malidive and, i wish to go malidive, because my dream job is teacher. but when i go through your blog i have been seen what is going on Malidive. so i am became confusing , if i will go in malidive after living my present job, is it good for me? and April month 1st week i will be their in kerala and one one more question , when will they start new academic year school. if i will come in April can i attend in interview?

      • Senthilkumar

Dear Mr. Pradeep, you better stay there. I am so sorry to say that your English is very very poor and the students will kick you out of the class in one single class here. Better not to come here, unless you are good at English and strong in the subject. Regarding the money collected by the agencies, you better take some actions, if possible in India. First know your rights or log in to the right to information act page and know it. The students of Maldives are saved and teachers working here need some reputation. So only qualified people can approach and if the agency is asking too much deny it and contact the ministry directly through internet or email.

      • Kishore Post author

@Pradeep, let me repeat, it is not worth to take up any Job in Maldives by paying any money.
