Chicken Fry

The recipe is very good for those who does not like to consume much oil but like to have fried chicken. The preparation time is very less as well as the cooking time.
Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 500 gm ( tender)
  • Red chillies – 8 to 10
  • Saunf ( aniseed) – 1 tbsp
  • Lime – 1
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Cooking oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Cut chicken into 11/2″ pieces, wash and strain
  2. Coarsely crush red chillies and saunf/ aniseeds
  3. Mix the chicken pieces with salt, lime juice, turmeric powder,curry leaves and coarsely crushed red chillies and saunf
  4. Keep the chicken in the fridge for 1 to 2 hrs
  5. Heat a non-stick pan, smear oil on the pan and fry chicken on medium heat
  6. When all sides are done well, shift the pieces to an oil paper or kitchen towel
  7. Serve hot with roti or rice of your choice
