Content is King, Make use of others content
Its a very well know fact that content is king and to have good content for your blog, you know how much pain you need to take. Search engines are content hungry and they like websites with fresh and unique contents. I was working on my News Blog using the AutoBlogging tool. Its very clear that I do not need to write content for that blog when I use Auto Blogging plugin. I just need to do the initial set up and then leave it work by it self. I had explained earlier my news blog has really worked for me giving me hike in search engine traffic and subsequently increase in blog revenue.
Some thoughts that came in my mind when I was working on the new template of this blog
- Lack of Unique Content
- Duplicate Titles
- Duplicate Content
- Out bound links to original Sources
These thoughts made me think about sites like Digg, Technorati, and many other popular sites which are run by user submissions. They don’t have their own content or the titles and contents are not optimized, there are lots of duplications, spamming, etc, but they perform well. They rank well on search engines, they have reliable and stable traffic from different sources, high pagerank and not penalized for duplicate contents.
Tips while using others content
If you are using a autoblogging software or fetch content using other scripts, then you should make sure that you do it in an ethical and smarter way
Do not copy the whole post – Make sure that you do not copy more than 25-50 words from the original post. Respect the copyright notice, and link to the original post giving the credit. Do not do modifications to make the content look unique, its just waste of time.
Add other related content or search results of the keywords from different sources like twitter, digg, etc. This can give more effect and information to the reader as well as your post.
