Developer Mistakes – XCode Upgrade to Beta version 4.2

I am sure, I am not the only one who has done this mistake. When I saw the release of iOS 5 Beta 2 and the Xcode 4.2 version and the iTunes update, I did not think much, but just wanted to upgrade and I did that.

Few thoughts

What if I was planning to submit my app to App store – Not possible as I am using a beta version of SDK.

I am not able to use the stable version as I cannot re-install the stable version over the beta version and I tried installing in a different drive, but due to the iTunes upgrade, it just got stuck and I had to force quit the MAC.

Its always advisable to read what other say before you do anything like this. I am lucky that I do not have any plans for submitting any apps for the next 3 months, so it’s fine for me and I am comfortable working with the beta versions.
