Facebook App for iPad – When can we get it ?
Facebook is a very popular social networking service with the highest number of users, but to be very sad, it does not have an office app for the iPad. Why is this? Twitter has a well designed app for iPad and when iOS 5 comes out, you will know how deep it is integrated with iOS. I was expecting Facebook to be integrated with iOS, the same way twitter is done. Developers can use the twitter class to use twitter integration with their app and works very well.
There are rumors of Facebook app for iPad, but still we do not see anything coming out. Are they waiting for the release of iOS 5? If the app is developed using the iOS 5 SDK, then we will have to wait till iOS 5 is released officially and devices are updated with iOS 5. We expect that iOS 5 would be released very soon or at least announced on the 4th of October during the announced event by Tim.
There are rumors that Facebook app for iPad will include access to Facebook mobile apps courtesy of the HTML5 technology. We need to wait till things come out, but we really miss an official app for Facebook on iPad. There are some good Facebook app for iPad like the MyPad app which works good and I am using the paid version. We can also use the Facebook iPhone app on iPad, but I really hate doing that.
