iOS 5 should be ready for download within few hours from now. You will need to be prepared to download and upgrade your iOS devices. The upgrade would be free and you will need iTunes 10.5 for this update. You can download iTunes 10.5 from here. You will have to back up your device before you go for the upgrade.

This initial upgrade would not be an Over The Air (OTA) upgrade, but I understand the future updates would be OTA. You will surely enjoy the new version of iOS with really great new features like the notifications, iMessage (This is something I feel would be used the most by iOS device users).

Waiting for the upgrade ?

I hope developers who are on beta version can upgrade the same way others do or if there are any other steps to be followed?
