Male’ International Airport is now taken over by GMR and this is the first time I am traveling after this change. You cannot see any changes visible as its just one week. According to GMR, you will start seeing remarkable changes in next 6 months time and about US$ 400 million will be invested to make the new airport at Male’

We still cannot see any progress in the Work for the new International airport. It is scheduled to be completed by 2014. Hopefully the upgrade work goes smoothly without effecting the current traffic. Maldives really needs a great Airport and am sure GMR would be able to do that
