Have you noticed your blogs toping in Google Search Results – Its not same for rest of the World
Recently I saw my blog coming on top of Google search results for my name Kishore which is a very much searched keyword. In fact the ranking of this Keyword has improved as far as my blog is concerned during a period of time, but not to the extend what I see in my search results.
When I asked one of my friend to search from his PC, he told me that he is not seeing my blog in the search results. I was bit surprised and checked out to find the reason for this. I had been watching this search results for sometime now and I had often clicked on my blog search results. I usually login to my Google Account and have enabled Google Search History.
Its interesting to note that Google now knows what website search results you like and shows the search results from the web pages you often visits. Google is aware of your likes and dislikes and keeps you happy with good search results according to your taste. To be more clear, suppose you search about technology news and you often click on search results from mashable.com, then Google will show pages from mashable.com next time on the first page.
You can clear the Google Search History to see how search results and viewed by people who are not viewing personalized search results. You can disable Google Search History from this page.
Bottomline is that the user gets results from websites he/she likes, but where does the SEO goes? What we see is not the same to rest of the world as far as Google search results are concerned.
