How to encourage bloggers to do Guest Posting for your blog ? [Day 17]

Accepting Guest Posts is something which every blogger should do and I have written about this in my earlier post. Now the question is how to get people write for your blog. If your blog is very popular, then you will not find it difficult to get good articles, but if you are just a begginer and your blog does not have a good pagerank, then its bit tough to get Guest posts. I have few tips for encouraging people to write Guest Posts for your blog.

1. Add a banner and link to a post explaining the advantages of Guest Posting.
2. Submission of Guest posts – You should have a very easy system for submitting guest posts. It can be just emailing the post to you which I prefer or a very easy registration process. If you are using WordPress, just make the default user role to Contributor which will make your work easy.
3. Reward your authors – You should give something in return. You can offer a profile note with link to the authors blog which should be encouraging for authors. Another method is to share the Ad revenue. There are many bloggers who share Google Adsense Revenue with their authors. There are some WordPress Plugins like Author Advertising which can be very easy to share Google Adsense Revenue.

To conclude, Guest posting improves your site visibility, traffic and further, its not just you who will be promoting your blog posts, but you will have a good team who will be working for your blog. So Guest Posting is something which you should try and it depends on you to decide how you do this? You may get regular writers or some may just come and write a post for just promoting their product. You should also have your terms and conditions set for Guest Posting before you announce it on your blog. Also make it very clear about the topics for which you accept Guest Posting.
