I see no reason to praise the HC in Male’The South Indian Lady who tries to be a North Indian is a real painin the side , a moron and a snob with her gaudy outfitsOnce when i went there for some forms she handed it to me with her left hand and right hand on some dollars and eyes too .. she did not look at me nor see where she was shoving the papers – it was shoved above the slot – i had to give gallees . She has been there in that stagnant spot for so long i think she needs to be replaced with someone with PR skillsNext is the counter .. the glass is cut and the rods are vertical and documents have to be passed sideways ….Working hours are shorter than Indian Govt Offices … First n foremost they chat and gossip inside all the time … They need to work longer hours – after all they are paid from out money – they act like they are doing a big Favor to us ….The officers are mean when it comes to Indians and all charming when it comes to Goras and others ….On an end note – The damn HC looks like a fortress you cant enter inside and you just cant talk to anyone – no one ….I just hope n pray i dont have to ever go to the HC ever again .. His Excellency, Mr. D. M. Mulay,
    High Commissioner of India

    Greetings from Urjavaran Foundation!!!

URJAVARAN FOUNDATION, a voluntary non-profit NGO, since its genesis has played the role of a catalyst for spreading the message of Efficient Use of Energy, its Conservation and Preservation of Environment.

We are pleased to inform you that we have been appointed by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Power, New Delhi to organize exhibitions at Capital cities of India and exhibit Energy Efficient Products and Systems as well as Star Labelled products approved by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, GoI, with whom we are jointly organizing these exhibitions.

The Exhibition will generate public awareness, on the topic of Conservation of Energy, which would reduce emissions and correspondingly improve the ecological balance, which is of paramount interest not only for our two countries but also for the whole world in which we live in.

Concurrently with the exhibition, Symposiums will be held where eminent speakers from India and abroad are invited to present their papers to discuss and disseminate technical information on the relevant subjects.

Having successfully completed an event at Mumbai last year, we are now planning a massive exhibition at Chennai from 25 – 27 June, 2010 at Chennai Trade Centre and would welcome participation as well as delegation from your country to actively interact and draw the experience and the expertise from Indian Manufacturers of Energy Efficient products. An Exhibition brochure can be viewed on our website.

I would like to call upon you during my forthcoming visit to Maldives from 3rd – 6th February, 2010 (stay at Hotel Taj Exotica) to apprise you further in this matter and hence seek your appointment during any of these days at your convenience.

A line in confirmation by email will be appreciated.

Mr. Manuraj, The Police verification certificate has to be collected from the Maldives Police Service. For the same, request your employer for a letter requesting the Maldives Police Service to issue a Police Certificate. For the same, you need your original passport, work permit card, photograph with the required amount fee, and submit the same to the police headquarters in person (near the Jumhooree ground). They will issue the certificate in 3 days time
    Wishing you all the best

  • aminath

hai sir, i want to adopt a baby from india. what shall i do. please reply me soon.

  • Noushad

    hi dear kishore,
Thanks for your reply. I have allready mentioned about the contract, after your reply i asked my employer to get attest the contract from indian high commission, maldives (thats what i have got the information from ministry of foreign affairs). But now the employer is informing me that ; they went to the Indian high commssion maldives but they informed they are not attesting any employment contract not even for teachers working with Ministry. By attesting the employment contract the high commission is proving that, the company (employer) is genuine and terms and conditions are according to the law. am i right ?Now i don’t know why the high commission is rejecting the contrat. I have tried some nos. of high commission , not answering. is there anyway to to get my contract attested from indian high commission , maldives .could you please guide me?

    Thanks once again
    have a nice day.

  • sudhir

dear sir i have to go india my name have case.

  • Michael

To all Indians, my advice is: don’t come to Maldives. Its not a nice country for Indians to work in. the money they promise you in India is in fact much less in reality and most of all, many Maldivians (of course not all!) treat Indians very very bad…Out of all the countries you can go to for job opportunities, the Maldives is the last country you should consider!

hi kishor i am staying for a week in male and working for a company in male i am intrusted to find a room on rent in male for stay for a couple would u suggest some for me

I tried to call India High Commission in Maldives to inquire for tourist visa requirements. I called 3323015 and a lady answered my call, when I gave the greetings, she slammed the phone. I called for the 2nd time and the same lady picked up the call. I informed her about the purpose of my call, she didn’t utter a word and just connected me to another line. I was put on hold for more than 15 mins and somebody picked up and slammed the phone on me – for the 2nd time!I tried to call another number (3307716) and a different lady answered the call. I informed her that I would like to know the requirements for tourist visa, and she cut me and started giving instructions without asking for the full details of the applicant, e.g. nationality of the applicant, etc., She has given lots of irrelevant information in a very unpleasant manner, speaking at the rate of 120 km per minute! After she finished, she said to call back again in the afternoon and slammed down the phone without waiting any response from me.Both staffs who answered the call are very unprofessional in dealing with their clients. What a shame coz they are working at the High Commission of India. These two morons are not the only Indians who have that kind of attitude. There are lots who pretend to be smart and intelligent, but they are actually nuts! And no wonder that Indians are given the trademark of being so proud but empty-headed!Shame on this kind of people! You should be sent out of Maldives!

  • J.LO

To Michael,Of course, Maldivians will treat you bad bcoz of your arrogant attitude! Most Indians believe that they are really smart, well sorry to say, you are not! You are just pretending! You are being paid depending on your mental capacity and skills, and it shows why you are being paid less.If you will check, Indians are having the lowest deposit money for visa. Well, it answers your doubts!

This is patehtic working in maldives. I worked for one of the worst ever company in MATEWERI and HIRILANDOO maldives. Only workers who simply sit and wait for things.
Most of them steal or do not listen to you at all. They are only interested in BED, WASHING MACHINE, AC and things you have… its much boring to stay and live in such a shit place… who ever comes to MALDIVES must beware of DOCTORS as well. They can charge enormous amount.. and airlines are partial openly.. RELIGION these days being the main… ITS A HELL… do not come to maldives again go and live where humans are
