iOS 4.2 for iPad with great features coming soon
Apple has released the beta version of iOS 4.2 to its registered developers and the news is that this is an unified versions which means all the devices will be having the same for all the devices like the iPhone, iPad and iPod. I have been using iOS 4.1 on my iPhone 4 and I really miss this on my iPad.
iOS 4 has some great new features
Multitasking – iPad has still not got the multitasking feature. This will make iPad more worth because we can run applications in background. You can double press the home button and get access to the applications running in the background. Applications supporting multitasking can be accessed and is useful for applications like music, VOIP calls like Skype, TruPhone, etc.
Folders - You can put upto 20 shortcuts in case of iPad and upto 12 in iPhone. This is really useful to organize the applications that you use.
AirPrint – This is something new and I have no experience on this. According to the information available, you can print documents, images, emails, etc using the network printers available in the Wifi network (MAC and Windows). I am not sure if this will support all kinds of printers. HP printers would be supporting AirPrint and probably other printers would update for such kind of printing. More Info..
Gaming - Its good, I got it on my iPhone, but I have to tried it. You can play games with your friends
iPad needs to release these update at the earliest, we see new notebooks powered by Android in the market already with all these features, but the expected time of update for 4.2 is November 2010.
