Jayalalitha doesn’t want Prime Minister Under Lokpal

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha expressed her disagreement on bringing Prime Minister under the armpit of Lokpal, since the Prime Minister is covered under  Prevention of Corruption Act. While DMK, one of the allies of the Congress led UPA government, supported for the inclusion of Prime Minister under the purview of the Lokpal Bill.

According to her, if the Prime Minister is brought under the Lokpal armpit, it would undermine his authority and pave way for a parallel government and probably the bill could be used by foreign powers to “destabilise” the nation.

Is she really planning to support in the centre because last year November she made an offer that if DMK withdraws support in connection with the 2G scam, her party AIADMK is ready to support but the Congress continued its alliance with DMK even after losing the recently held elections in Tamil Nadu.
