Jhalak Dhikhla Jaa season 5 starts from June 16
The fifth season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa will go on air on Colors TV from 16 June, 2012. The show will have 13 contestants from small screen, TV anchors, and starlets from bollywood. The dance performances of these contestants will be judged by Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar, and choreographer Remo D’Souza.
The fifth season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa aims to give more priority to the international dancing forms besides the bollywood dance forms. This season’s contestants include Balika Vadhu fame Pratyusha Banerjee, Saath Nibhana Sathiya star Gia Manek, bollywood starlet Isha Sharvani, VJ Shibani Dandekar, TV anchor Archana Vijay, Darsheel Safari, Ghazal Singer Talat Aziz, Comedian Bharti, actress Jayati Bhatia, etc.. The main attraction of the show is the participation of Sanath Jayasuriya, former Sri Lankan cricket captain.
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is the desi version of international dancing shows Dancing with the Stars and Strictly Come Dancing. The main highlight of the show is that it give priority to the dancing skills of non-dancing stars.
The earlier seasons of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa was shown on Sony TV but this time it is aired exclusively on Colors TV only. It is aired on Saturday and Sunday from 9 pm.
