Johnson Master, Music Director passed away

Music Director, Johnson Master passed away due to heart attack at his residence in Chennai. He was 58 years old and the dead body is kept in the Sree Ramakrishna Medical centre, Poroor, Chennai and expected to bring it to his residence in Chennai today morning around 8.30.  Burial will be held in Trissur, Kerala. But still not decided to relieve the body from the mortuary since the police is asking to perform a postmortem on the grounds that when he was brought to hospital, he was dead. Kerala Chief Minister is making arrangements to release the body without postmortem.

He was born in Trissur to Antony and Mary on 26 March, 1953. He debuted into the music industry with the renowned music director Devarajan master in 1970. He scored music for more than 300 movies and won twice national award for the best background music category in 1993 for Ponthanmada and 1994 for Sukrutham. He won Kerala state award for 5 times for the best music director.

Johnson master has done his music composition independently for the movie, Inayethedi and it was a super duper hit and even now.  Kireedam, Njan Gandharvan, Photographer are some of  hit movies for which he scored music.

My heart felt condolences to his great soul.

Funeral ceremonies were held at Nellikunnu St. Sebastians Church on Saturday.
