Just Dance 6th Elimination

Just Dance 6th elimination episode was telecasted today, 11 September, 2011 on Star Plus. Four out of total eight contestants is equally divided for top 4 and bottom 4. Yesterday, judges said it is going to be a Double elimination episode. To witness the elimination, Mausam star, Shahid Kapoor was present.

This week’s top 4 contestants were Karan Khanna, Soumita, Surjeet, and Abhash. Surjeet and Abhash performed Kalari ( Kerala style fighting technique) and Karan and Soumita performed a ballroom dancing. Abhash got the Swift Performer of the week Award, Rs. 1 lakh worth cheque.

The bottom 4 were the wonder boy Ankan, Swarali, Meher Malik, and Rajit Dev. Rajit couldn’t perform last week since he was down with Jaundice and he got a direct entry into the bottom 4. This is for the second time Ankan is coming to the bottom 4. This is the first time Rajat Dev is dancing in the bottom 4.

This time, the wonder boy couldn’t get an entry to the top 4 since his performance was not up to the mark (Vaibhavi Merchant said Ankan couldn’t reach the Ankanoscope).

Yesterday’s main attractions were the UV act performed by Soumita, the monkey act by Surjeet, Clown act by Abhash and heroic fire act performed by Karan Khanna. Surjeet’s act was commented for the Swift move of the day. All those selected as the top 4 got Nokia X7 mobile set.

Once Rajat finished his act, Shahid Kapoor said according to him Rajat’s performance is the act of the night. Rajat looked so dull and i think he is not fully recovered. Swarali’s performance was so emotional and touching but Farah said dancing was very little her performance.

Wonder boy Ankan’s performance was wonderful. His act showed  from the growth of a foetus, delivery and naming the baby. It was really a wonderful performance. Farah Khan warned him do not dare to come to bottom 3 again.

Meher Malik performed something about LOVE. The judges were not so impressed with her act. Waiting for the results. Before the elimination results were published, Shahid left the dance floor after giving the three girl contestants small gifts. They were so much impressed with his charm.

Meher Malik and Swarali were eliminated from the Just Dance reality show. After this elimination only top 6 contestants are left on the Just Dance show. As usual eliminated contestants got Rs. 3 lakh worth cheque from Hrithik Roshan.

Meher Malik, who is very fond of tattoos, is a professional belly dancer who has trained in this art in London, Paris and Egypt. She also teaches belly dancing and runs India’s largest belly dancing institute- Banjara School of Dance. She has learnt the basics of Bharatnatyam and completed a fashion designing course at NIFT and running a Banjara designer studio. She enjoys swimming, singing and playing the piano besides dancing.

Swarali Karulkar is coming to the elimination round for the second time and this 19 year old Mumbaikar  is a versatile dancer and learnt basics in Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Marathi folk dance but received more training in contemporary and Jazz. She is a good debater as well as an athlete.

Today, there was a small challenge given by Hrithik to his Just Dance contestants. He has divided the 8 contestants into two groups and asked them to perform the Hide & Seek Bourbon advertisement. Both the groups performed very well. The prize money of Rs. 3 lakh for the ad winner  was divided among all the eight contestants.
