Kolkata Knight Riders Won the IPL season 5 title

IPL season 5 came to an end with KKR winning their maiden title. It was a fantastic batting performance of both Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. M. S. Dhoni led CSK won the toss and decided to bat and set a huge score, 190/3, for the KKR but Gambhir led KKR chased the two time winners CSK and won their maiden title in five seasons for 5 wickets.

Manvinder Bisla has been selected as the Man of the Match (final) and Sunil Narine is the Golden player of the tournament. Morne Morkal of Delhi Daredevils got the Purple Cap for taking the most number of wickets (25) and Chris Gayle of Bangalore Royal Challengers got the Orange Cap for scoring most number of runs (733). Rajasthan Royals was awarded with the best Fair-play team.
