Masala Tea

Masala tea is otherwise known as spice tea. I exactly don’t to how to prepare Masala tea but I usually use the given spices here for my method of preparation. Somehow, I enjoy this taste. Try and find out whether these spices entertain your taste buds. I prefer Assam Masala tea packet to any other varieties available in the market. The given measurement is sufficient to serve 2.

  • Water    – 1 cup
  • Milk       – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar to taste
  • Tea dust/ leaves – 11/2 tsp
  • Ginger – 1/4” piece
  • Green Cardamom – 2
  • Nutmeg –1/8” piece
  • Cinnamon – 1/2” piece
  • Clove – 2

Method of Preparation:

  • Boil milk and keep aside
  • Heat water in a sauce pan, add crushed ginger and bring it to boil
  • Add crushed green cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, let it boil again
  • Add tea leaves/dust and bring it to boil on low heat
  • Add milk and let it boil again for few seconds
  • Strain into the cups and add sugar to taste
  • Masala tea is ready to serve

Note: 1 cup is 240 ml measurement
