MELAM easy to cook Vermicelli Kheer
Very tasty easy to cook Vermicelli Kheer mix is an ideal choice for any occassion since it saves lot of your cooking time.
This 200 gm pack has every thing except the milk. It has roasted broken Vermicelli, sugar, sago, cashew nuts and raisins along with cardamom powder for flavouring.
We just have to add milk and boil it for 10 mins. The cooking instruction on the pack says to add 1 litre of milk and boil but it is not sufficient for the Vermicelli to get cooked. If you are using full cream milk, 1 litre milk and a 1/2 litre water or 11/2 litre skimmed milk is needed to be added along with the given ingredients.
Warm milk and add the ingredients and cook for 15-20 mins over medium heat.
Don’t forget to stir frequently while Vermicelli get cooked. You can add extra cashew nuts and raisins since very few of it is added in the packet. Remove from stove when sago turns to transparent balls.
In Maldives, it is available for Mrf. 25/- and i don’t know the exact price in India. But it is worth trying. One packet is sufficient enough to serve 8-10 persons.
