Mumbai Terrorist Attack – A Round Up
A really shocking incident which was well planned and successfully completed. Lots of loopholes in our security system was taken as the advantage by the organizers of this attack. Hats off to the ATS, Mumbai Police, Indian Army and on the top, the NSG commandos, who did a great task successfully with minimum causalities.
I was almost watching everything live all these days. Great work done by the Indian Television channels and other media people. Zee News and NDTV did a great job and I salute the cameramen and the reporters who were at the site of operation continuously covering the events and giving updates to the public. Internet was very widely used for helping and updating the world. Blogging and twitterring was really used for this event. Many bloggers were doing live blogging and I had my Latest Blog Posts updated hourly covering almost all the top news agencies. The terrorist got into Historical Taj Mahal hotel near the Gate Way of India, Trident Oberoi, Nariman House and the complete operation took about 65 hours
Lots of Police Officials who took part in this event lost their life including the ATS chief, Hemant Karkare, some police officials and one Commando. My sincere salute to all the martyrs of this event. Lots of innocent foreigners and Indians lost their life in this event, my hearty condolence to the friends and family of the people who lost their life in this cowardly act. The General Manager of Taj lost his wife and two teenaged sons in this incident.

- To destroy Hotel Taj Mahal
- To Kill innocent people
- To destabilize Indian Economy
- To tell Indian Intelligence and security department that we are more intelligent and stronger than you

Who are behind this attack ?
Pakistan, or any organization from Pakistan and the style of the attack was copied from the al-Qaeda operations. I am sure that there was local support for this attack and it was well planned and organized well. Zee news was reporting that there was a terrorist who had joined Taj 10 months back and this was informed by an employee of Taj who called his home after he was shot and he told that he was shot by his friend, but Taj authorities has denied this. The security people have got lots of information to prove that the terrorists were from Pakistan, but Pakistan has denied this. The ISI Chief of was asked to come to India so that the Indian authorities can handover the solid proof of Pakistan’s involvement in this event.
How many came to Mumbai to take part in this event?
As per the media information, 9 terrorists were killed and 1 captured live. Are these the only people who came in to take part in this event or are there some absconding? We are not sure, but I am sure that the people responsible for the security of the citizens of India and Mumbai will surely keep this in mind.
How is the situation now in Mumbai?
Mumbai is a place where strong people live and such activities will not stop them from their daily activities, its getting back to normal. Today morning I was watching Zee TV and its good that they have started a new program where the participants can pass any suspicious information that can be used by the security people to handle such attacks.

It was really a heartbreaking incident took place in the finance capital of India. The great journalist Shobha De commented on this to NDTV was remarkable, “enough is enough”, itself carries a lot meaning and it is a direct sting to the politicians as well as to the diffenrent intelligence agencies. When we refer the various commandos, the role of Marcos (marine commandos) should not be forgotten. The release of Nariman House would have been impossible unless they were air dropped.Even though the target of the terrorists were to blow up the gate way of Mumbai and they were much prepared for it, the unexpected was the resistance from the security forces. Hats off to all the Media and to their personnel by risking their life for keep updating the public and my hearty condolences to Sabina Sakia, the reporter of Times of India.
My hearty condolences to all who lost their lives in this dark 26/11. Be safe and surely Mumbai will bounce back.
