55th National Film Awards 2007 is announced today. 5 National Awards for Malayalam movies for the best actor, best Malayalam movie, best music director, best editing and best make-up man. Adoor Gopalakrishnan is the Best Director for the film “Naalu Pennungal”, “Ore Kadal” is the best Malayalam movie, Ouseppachan is the best Music director for “Ore Kadal”, B. Ajith is for the best Editing for “Naalu Pennungal” and Pattanam Rasheed the best Make-up man for the film “Paradesi”.

Best Movie is the “Kanjeevaram” (Tamil) directed by Priyadarsan. Prakash Raj is the best Actor (Kanjeevaram) and Umasree is the best actress (Gulabi Talkies).
