This is my second visit to the Zoo even though it is just 5 Kms from my home. While speaking to a group of college students from Kerala, they said they opted to visit the zoo just because of the Anacondas. They just wanted to see their reel hero in real. There are 4 Anacondas in the zoo right now. These were brought from Sri Lanka National Zoo in Colombo as a gift to the Mysore Zoo. In the beginning there were 5 Anacondas and 1 was dead immediately after they were shifted to Mysore zoo.

These non-venomous snakes are in Olive Green colour  and about 20 months old. These larger than life snakes are the latest addition to the Mysore Zoo.
