Om Shanthi restaurant in Hotel Siddharta, Mysore
Om Shanthi is a Veg-multi cuisine restaurant located in the ground floor of Hotel Siddharta in Mysore. Om Shanti restaurant has A/C and Non-A/C dining area to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try to have and enjoy your food from Om Shanti whenever you come to Mysore.
Hotel Siddharta is one of the 3 star hotels in the heritage city, Mysore. It is located on the heart of Mysore city. It provides easy access to many tourist destinations in Mysore like Mysore Palace, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological gardens (Mysore Zoo), Jagan Mohan Palace, Chamundi hills, Lalith Mahal Palace, etc. I never got a chance to stay in this hotel since my home is very close to the hotel but I am a frequent visitor to the restaurant.
The reason behind every visit is their South Indian Thali. It is my fifth visit to the restaurant and third for the month of June. You can enjoy the Thali meals for Rs. 75 in the non-A/C dining hall and for Rs. 120 in the A/C room. Meal has a fixed menu – 2 Chapattis, 1 bowl rice, vegetable curry, rasam, sambar, curd, dhal curry with greens, pickle, salt, pappad, and Kesari (a sweet). Simultaneously, there is buffet lunch at the fourth floor of the hotel.
The restaurant provides a good service even though they have a limited number of staff. It is so crowded in the afternoon since it is the tourist season in Mysore.
If you want to enjoy North Indian or Continental vegetarian varieties, you better go to the A/C restaurant of Om Shanti.
The restaurant provides a good ambience even though it is crowded.
An Aquarium with a variety of fishes inside the restaurant is an important attraction to the young customers.
The hotel premises is having a large area exclusively for parking two wheelers and four wheelers including the tourist buses without any charges.
If you want you enjoy an ice-cream or chew beeda, that is also available outside the restaurant. In my opinion, never try the ice-cream from there since the freezer meant for keeping the ice-creams is not maintained properly and mostly you get melted cornetto from there. Except this, rest of the things are good.
You can enjoy the tasty food for a reasonable price at Om Shanti restaurant.
