Updating your blog with killer contents needs to be read by visitors. Search engines are the best source of traffic so you need to make sure that the content updated on your blog needs to indexed by search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing which are the most popular search engines. There are some rules of search engines which we need to follow and respect.
I would suggest you to first go through the Google Webmaster Guidelines which will give a good idea on how to optimize your blog for search engines. If you are using a CMS like WordPress, then most of your work is done. WordPress has Search Engine Friendly URL’s, and if you are using a search engine optimized theme like Diythemes, Woothemes, Studiopress themes, Elegant Themes, Headway Themes, etc, then you should have most of your work done.
