Samsung Galaxy Note ICS Upgrade Available in India
I was waiting for this for some months now and finally today, I got it. I was checking for updates using my phone even today morning, but “No updates found” was the regular message. I read few updates on Twitter that Samsung has already started rolling out he ICS update in India. I thought of checking for updates using Kies and as soon as I connected, I got the message that there is a firmware upgrade available.
I starting downloading the firmware and finished it, but unfortunately, I could not continue as my battery level was only 47%. I put my phone to charge and tried the process again with my phone battery level at 53% (I guess it should be not less than 50%).
ICS stands for Ice Cream Sandwich which is a later version of Ginger Bread, but not the latest. ICS has lots of new features and believed to have better performance and battery performance.
The upgrade process is on, will update the post as soon as I finish it.

Atlast finished the upgrade, now my Galaxy Note running on ICS.

Hi Pradeep, this is not a fake one buddy, last night I got the same update, but unfortunately I lost the connection in middle. Looks there is a heavy load on the survers. I hope I would do the update today.

waiting for your feedback. Till now, I have not got the upgrade. Hopefully I receive it shortly……..
Hi Kishore. Even i have got the update notification and downloaded the update. and kies message asked to restart the device. but nothing happened . Later when tried for the update it i snot showing anything. Did you faced something like this?

There are two updates one by one…..
1. Gingerbread update
2. ICS Update
No dude…it’s correct. I did update my note in morning to LC1 which is 2.3.6 update but just 2 hours before I got notification for ICS update also. It is available OTA as well as on kies….Mine is already in progress..
i got the update but, it is DDLC1 and it is still 2.3.6

You seem to have a very fecund imagination. This is not ICS but a Gingerbread update.Google it!
All the screenshots are correct. You check for update because it’s already rolled out in india and I am downloading it for my note…
I got a OTA stating ICS on my Galaxy Note… Download is in progress!!
Before that I connected to Kies and it upgraded the firmware to Gingerbread DDLC1. 2 hours later i got the OTA. And my colleague just tried with kies and she got the ICS firmware notification as well

Me too got ICS update notification 2 hour before….but I am facing problem in updating my note. The update process is going too slow. (10% in half an hour over high speed broadband connection).
Please let me know if any of you are facing the same problem or have any solution for it.
Got time out message after downloading almost 80%, Samsung does not have strong servers like Apple has and they are able to give global upgrade on the same day. Anyway we need to wait and try again as we opted for samsung. Started downloading agains

yesssss. After seeing this i also tried.. Update started… Atlast ICS will be on my galaxy note… I am downloading it.. 11% done… hope it will run smoothly.. Thanx buddy…
Has it changed anything. As I have updated my Note to ICS 4.0.3 but lock screen never changed, first screen is still looking the same old Note.
I do agree additional features of ICS are there but no ICS live wallpaper in my wallpers list.
No change in lock screen and also screen navigation is also not in cubicle formats as shown in youtube review (of Nexus ICS upgrade).
Please let me know if all have same issue. camera got hanged first time but after that it worked fine
