Shahid Afridi quits International Cricket

Shahid Khan Afridi, former Pakistan Cricket Team Captain, announced his retirement from the International Cricket. The retirement is only a “conditional retirement”. He is very much happy to reverse his decision if there is a change in the present Pakistan Cricket Board because his view is that the present PCB is not having any respect for the senior players.

Afridi is not new to retirement. He announced his first retirement from test cricket in 2006 to concentrate in ODIs and later on reversed his decision. Now also his retirement is a revocable decision.

Afridi is currently in England and is set to play for Hampshire in the Friends Provident T20. He will also be available for the inaugural edition of the Sri Lankan Premier League, and will participate in domestic cricket in Pakistan
