Using Google Adwords Efficiently

What is Google Adwords?

This may be a silly question for webmasters or people who use this. I am also a Google Adwords account holder, but the real cream in this is to use it efficiently. If you are not tuning your adwords campaign properly, you may burn your fingers.

Adwords account can be created by anyone, just sign-up and start using it. Off-course its not free, you need to give your credit card details and you will be billed according to the usage. There are also option to pump funds into your adwords account and set daily budgets so that you don’t loose money or your advertising budget is not effected.

In adwords you have the option to create your own ads texts, keywords, select the region, time and everything to use it very efficiently. If you are targeting visitors from a particular country, you can select that, you can select the timings when the ads should be shown, etc.

In fact you should use these options and in a very tuned manner if you need to get the results. You can even track the results using the Google Analitics, in which you need to insert some code on different pages to track the visitors and conversions.

These are the ads that we submit to adwords which are shown in Google Adsense. Google claims that they protect the interest of the advertizers and keep check on the Adsense fraud clicks. I have many time got refunds for these kind of invalid clicks.

When you set the rates per keyword and the default rate, you should always use the keyword tools and see what your ranking is. You don’t really need to bid to go to the top place to get visitors. Even when you select the keywords, just don’t put all the keywords that comes into your mind. You should use only the keywords which will be your  posible conversion.

When you design your adverstizment, make sure you don’t attract visitors who may not be interested in your product.

Keep in mind that you are paying for each and every click, so use adwords in a way that you tempt only visitors who will be your conversions.
