I have been observing the developments of Valentine’s day celebrations in Bangalore since yesterday. I am in India for this particular occassion after 10 years. Yesterday I happened to be in Malabar Gold, when I asked their preparations to face this particular occassion, they had a good sales for pendants and rings but the rush was not like the previous years. Their is a florist in front of my apartment said, the sales is very high for single stalks, compared to last years. Supermarkets near by places had the same opinion that the sales were not up to the expected mark. I saw many youngsters have bracelets in black beads and stones. When I walked into one of the restaurants i could feel the frangrance of pairs chit-chating over soups, pakodas, etc.. but no ice-creams. In commercial street, not much rush of shoppers for this particular occassion. Some how, the Valentine’s day is not so colourful like last years. No violence from RHS is reported till now.
