Veli Tourist Village, Trivandrum

Veli tourist village is one of the picnic destinations in Trivandrum, Kerala. It attracts people of all age towards it because of its scenic beauty. Veli tourist village is just 8 Km away from the Trivandrum central and can be reached there easily by road. Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) provides frequent bus services to Veli Tourist Village. It is very close to Trivandrum International Airport.

The major attraction of Veli tourist village is the large inland lake separated from the ocean by a narrow sandbar. Veli tourist village is located on the banks of Akkulam lake. Well landscaped gardens are one of the attractions to this picnic spot. This village provide facilities for boating, water sports, etc. Variety of boat services are available in the village.

Lake can be crossed through a floating bridge, which connects the village to the beach. When reach the sandbar, you can engage your kids in different activities like horse riding, children’s park, beach, etc. If you walk further down along the beach, you will reach the Shanghumukham Beach.

It is opened from 9 am to 8 pm. Entry tickets are issued only till 6 pm. Kids below the age of 5 get a free entrance. Boat services are available from 10 am. Veli tourist village attracts lot of tourists because of its natural beauty.
